Important new rules for employers in regards to complying with the newly enacted Emergency Family & Medical Leave Expansion Act

Within the last 12 months businesses have had to adopt and comply with a new act called FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), we adjusted to new payroll tax changes and rules around employees rights under the act. 

Now, the government has expanded FMLA into what's called the Emergency Family & Medical Leave Expansion Act (EFMLA). This new act expands employees rights for sick and family leave AND how employers are required to compensate them.
